The HPE H241 Smart Host Bus Adapter features a 2 x4 external port design, offering the expected flexibility and speed from HPE. Ideal for external connectivity to tape drives, shared storage, and external JBODs, it supports both 12G SAS and 6G SATA HDDs and SSDs. The H241 Smart HBA delivers high performance for SSDs without data protection requirements, making it suitable for cost-effective and reliable scalability in modern data centers. Operating in either HBA mode or simple RAID mode, it provides RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5 with optional HPE Secure Encryption capabilities. Note that unlike HPE Smart Array Controllers, the H241 does not support acceleration or cache modules.
